Itinerary

Upon arrival in Port Douglas, check in to your hotel. Nestled between Cairns and the Daintree, Port Douglas is a tropical paradise and known for its natural beauty. Spend the afternoon exploring the iconic Four Mile Beach, where golden sand stretches as far as the eye can see, crystal-clear water laps the shoreline and palm trees sway in the breeze. Stay the next three nights at Silkari Lagoons Port Douglas.

Today, set sail to idyllic Low Isles aboard the beautiful sailing catamaran, Wavedancer, for a perfect day of swimming and snorkelling. Take a tour on a glassbottom boat to view the coral gardens or explore the island’s unique flora on a guided beach walk.

Today is yours to explore Port Douglas at your own pace. Browse the boutique shops, dine at one of the many cafés or restaurants, walk along the palm fringed beach or discover the ancient beauty of the Daintree Rainforest on a guided tour (own expense).

Take a private transfer to Cairns Railway Station and board the Spirit of Queensland for the journey to Proserpine. Settle into your Economy Seat and watch the ever changing scenery pass by as you head south. On arrival in Proserpine, transfer by RailBus connection to your accommodation in Airlie Beach. Stay the next three nights at At Boathaven Bay Holiday Apartments, Airlie Beach.

Spend the day discovering Airlie Beach’s relaxed coastal vibe. Stroll palm-fringed beaches, enjoy the waterfront parks and dine al fresco. Walk the scenic Bicentennial Boardwalk from Port of Airlie to Cannonvale Beach or cool off with a swim in the Airlie Beach Lagoon. You may choose to take a day tour and explore the surrounding hinterland.

Enjoy a leisurely start to the day. This afternoon, embark on a scenic cruise to the breathtaking Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island. Travel through the stunning Whitsunday Passage, a tropical paradise of secluded waterways and hidden bays. Enjoy time to wander along the beach, hike the short Solway Circuit for some show-stopping views, or cool off in the gently lapping water before your return cruise.
